What makes Nest Egg Auctions one of New England’s premiere auction galleries?

Our Auction approach is unique:

We advertise your collection to the largest possible audience through multiple online bidding platforms, telephone bidding, live audience and absentee bids.

The modern way to sell at auction:

Our auctions feature live audio and video streams that keep our audience engaged for the whole sale.  Every aspect of our auction is handled in house: Vaulted storage, Catalog writing, Photography, gallery, saleroom, shipping, and settlement.

Our auctions are expertly curated:

We carefully catalog, photograph and showcase your items in a brilliant digital format to sell your collection for the highest possible price. Our buyers trust our descriptions and our knowledge.

Portable Items:
Please call or email us for an appointment to look at your items. We are happy to evaluate your antiques, art and old collectibles for inclusion in one of our upcoming auctions. We will provide you with a realistic evaluation of your items and a general expectation of auction value. We can then agree to an auction date and commission structure.

Collection Services & Large Consignments:
Nest Egg Auctions and Auctioneer Ryan C. Brechlin offer special collection and large consignment services. Past events include the William Brinley Collection of Circus Memorabilia, The Alfred Cheney Johnston Collection, The Richard Hegel Collection of Yale University and New Haven CT Art and History, The William Vars collection of Oceanic, Tribal and Ethnographic art, the Collected Works of Carl Brandien, and the Ford Beckman collection. Specialty auctions and areas of expertise include: Luxury watches, fine art, bronzes, New England artists, U.S. coins and paper money, fine estate jewelry, military, modern and antique firearms, rocks, minerals and gemstones.

The Process:
Auction items are brought to our gallery and warehouse prior to sale. A contract is drawn up that outlines the dates and times for the auction, the commission structure, and the inventory of the items. We then catalog and photograph the property, advertise it locally and internationally, and display it in our gallery. After the auction, we make payment less the agreed-upon commission. Our commissions vary based on the value and quantity of goods consigned. Any expenses are agreed to ahead of time. Please contact us directly to discuss our commissions for any given project.
